Many Vietnamese Americans are Republicans. Many voted for John McCain during the last presidential election. Many think that the Democrats are too quick to be friendly with the Vietnamese Communist government, and that the Republicans have a tougher approach dealing with Vietnam.
The Republicans aren’t happy with the direction of the Obama administration and are already looking ahead to the 2010 congressional contest and the 2012 presidential election where Sarah Palin may be a nominee running against President Obama.
Sarah Palin has quit her Alaska job, wrote a book, made speeches at the Tea Party's gatherings, and has been very vocal criticizing the Obama administration. All of these activities still do not erase the memories of her terrible interviews with Katie Couric and her seemingly lack of knowledge when comparing with seasoned politicians.
There is no question that Sarah Palin and her advisors are doing their best to keep her name in the news. She is hosting a program on the Fox channel, flying all over the country on behalf of other Republicans facing reelection competition, and has recently signed a deal for a reality show about Alaska.
With all that exposure and growing popularity, the question still remains whether she can win the presidency. Sarah Palin is known for making many cheap shots about the people she does not like. Her reaction and comments do not make her sound "presidential" at all.
On the other hand, President Obama started his presidency with a very high hurdle to climb. The Bush's administration got the country involved in two wars costing the US billions and counting. On top of that, the economy took a big dive due to the mortgage crisis causing foreclosures and collapse of many banks. People lose their houses, unemployment rate goes up, and everyone is complaining about the government being disfunctional.
The Republicans are quick to blame that President Obama is failing, while conveniently ignoring the fact that the problems may be rooted during the eight years of the Bush administration.
What do you think? Will you see President Sarah Palin in 2012, or will Sarah Palin disappear from the political circle and become another Russ Limbaugh? Will the voters show that Sarah Palin is no match for President Obama? Let's hear it! Vote and provide your opinions below.
